MAN IN THE IMAGE OF GOD

Genesis 1:26-27, Psalm 8


* What does it mean when the Bible says Man was made in the image of God?


- It means we have some qualities that God has given unto us which makes us different from other beings


* Because of what God has done, we ought to worship Him


* We need to make the LORD our Lord.


SOME ATTRIBUTES GIVEN TO US BY GOD

- We are rational beings

- We are moral beings

- We have free will: God doesn't force anything on us.

- Man is relational

- God demands that we be united

Akinwale Oloyede delivered the sermon today, on the topic LESSONS FROM THE SCHOOL OF MARRIAGE  The text was from GENESIS 21:8-14  Where we learnt that marriage is a school where students obtain certificates the day they enroll (Wedding day) but never graduate until death. God created man and woman as emotional/thinking beings with unique personalities.
