The Church Pastor commenced his Annual leave today, so the Lord sent His message to us through His servant, Rev. Dr. ‘Diran Ajao on the topic;
RESCUE THE PERISHING
Text: Mark 8:36-37

The Lord spoke to us on some reasons why we should preach the gospel, these include;
-         -  Many in the Church have been deceived. Taking as example those who seek God because of their financial feeds or other material things. And think they can bribe God by been regular at services.
-         -  The deception of the devil to many that there is the need to ‘gain the world’.
-          - Some also don’t believe that eternal death exists.
   Like the parable of the rich fool in Luke 12:19-20

And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.  
But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?  

*Sometimes, too much comfort takes away our God-Consciousness.

Things to be Done by us to Help a Perishing Person
1.      Be Concerned
2.      Love that Soul
3.      Pray
4.      Go and Preach
-  Do not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ. (Romans 1:16)

The main mission of the church of Christ is Missions. When we lose that focus, we lose out on God's purpose. Now is the time for every member of NSBC to determine to catch the vision for mission anew.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK
Pray for a renewed vision of the church for Missions.
Pray for God's guidance for the Building Committee as work resumes on the new Church Building.

NSBC conducts her first Baptismal Service on Sunday 2nd of September 2018 in the Church. All candidates should get prepared

On Sunday 12th of August, a short appreciation service will be conducted for Mrs Olujoke Olutunde. Members will be given an opportunity to appreciate her. All members please note.

NSBC hosts the Bible Society of Nigeria on Tuesday 14th August 2018 by 5pm. All members  are encouraged to plan to be there.

Pastor Mark Animisa (our former music Pastor) has been called to serve at First Baptist Church. Buguma, Rivers State. Members can reach him on 08034217585 to rejoice with him.

NSBC 2018 Children Holiday Bible School comes up between 13th - 17th August, 2018 from 1:30pm - 5:30pm. All parents are required to pay a sum of #200 per child. Let us continue to pray for the programme.
