Sunday 01-07-2018
We believe, regular worshippers in the Church know that the month of June is dedicated as our month of Family Matters.
Sunday Service, of July 1st also doubled as the day for our possessing the gates of the month prayer which held during service today, led by the Church Pastor, Rev. Kayode Oke.
The Message for today was titled; Marriage A Profound Mystery ,
Text was Ephesians 5:28-33
And was led by the Church Pastor, Rev Kayode Oke.
In the lesson, we learnt that marriage is a mystery according to vs 32 of our text. And we saw some reasons why marriage can be seen as a profound mystery.
1. Marriage is based on love, but can generate much pain.
- Everything about marriage starts with love, but we heard of many marriages which ended up terribly.
2. Opposites Attract
- Marriage is the art of two incompatible people learning to live compatibly.
3. From Civil war to greater Love
The minister went on to charge us on three stages in marriage, based on various experiences.
a. Honeymoon years
Few years after getting married, the couple tend to have moments of bliss with each other.
b. Battle years
After the honeymoon years, when personalityies tends to overlap, and misunderstandings become common among the couple.
c. Bonding Years
Then once the battle years are over, the couple then tend to become bonded so much that they are almost inseparable.
May the Lord grant us all Happy Families In Jesus' name.
Pastors Corner
One great thing about marriage is that, once married, husband and wife becomes, as it were, joined together - like siamese twins. They live together, move together, think together, sleep together, succeed together and even fail together. It makes much sense therefore for the partners to ensure that the togetherness is PEACEFUL and JOYFUL.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be
one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she
reverence her husband.
