TOPIC:    STEPPING UP ONTO GREATER GLORY
TEXT:       Ps 34:4-10

4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
6 This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;he saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,and he delivers them.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
9 Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

INTRODUCTION
Glory to God for this great grace to be together again today
LESSON
1.      REJOICE IN THE LORD OUR SAVOIR (Vs.4 &6)
2.      APPRECIATE THE LORD OUR PROTECTOR (Vs 7)
3.      EXPERIENCE THE LORD WHO IS EVER GOOD (Vs 5 & 8) Do not worship from afar, come close and experience this ever good God. Get off the outer courts, come into the “holy of holies” and have a first-hand experience of the goodness of the Lord. It has been for some time that you have been hearing about the goodness of God.... and you shout ‘Praise the Lord’, it is time you come in and ‘taste’ of this goodness yourself.
4.      SEEK TO THE LORD WHO IS ABLE (Vs 9-10). This great God is able “to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Eph. 3:20). We can never ask beyond His capacity – whatsoever we can think and ask, He is capable to do it. Vs. 10 of our passage says  “those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”   
PRAYER TIME
·         This great God has said in Matthew 7:7 that “Seek and you will find....” as we seek the Lord today, we shall find Him in Jesus name. Amen.
·         This passage says “...lack no good thing.” “Good” means something “functional, worthwhile, valuable, useful, pleasant and beneficial,” and because “no one is good except God alone” (Mark 10:18), we should add “Godly” to those attributes of “good”
PRAYER POINTS
a.       THANK GOD BECAUSE HE WHO HAS PROMISED is not man that he should lie.... therefore let us take some time to worship Him
b.      WE CAN NOT SEEK GOD WITH BAGAGES OF GARBAGE. Will you drop these bags of garbage at the foot of the cross today? So that you can ride the ‘old rugged cross’ onto glory
c.       PAUSE AND CHECK: IS YOUR SOUL PROSPERING? For 3 John 1:2 says
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (NKJV)….  Pray.
 AFTER ALL THESE PRELIMINARY CHECKS, LET US NOW “... approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.   (Heb:4:16)
      PRAY AND UPROOT EVERY WORK OF DARKNESS WORKING AGAINST YOUR LIFE.
Isaiah 54:14 says 
14 In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.
-          PRAY That because you are established in righteousness DECLARE that all forms of Tyranny be far from your life (Tyranny – oppression, reign of terror)
-          Declare and cast off all forms of such over your family….
-          The most tyrannical ruler is the devil. Nullify every work of Satan over and around your life.
-          SICKNESS sometimes is engineered by Satan. Pray against it
-          Untimely DEATH is from the pit of hell. Pray against it.
-          Jesus if Prince of Peace. Satan is prince of confusion….. Pray against confusion in your life and home
2.      DECREE the Peace of God over Nigeria……The Church of God…..Your home…..
3.      “… LACK NO GOOD THING….” What are those  -   functional, worthwhile, valuable, useful, pleasant,  beneficial and God glorifying things still lacking in your life. The Lord God whose words are Yea and Amen is giving you that grace to ask and receive now….  ASK NOW.
4.      PRAY FOR HOMES IN NSBC
5.      PRAY FOR PERSONS LOOKING FOR GAINFUL EMPLOYMENTS. Ask that God will meet these needs
6.      PRAY AGAINST SPIRITUAL DRYNESS IN OUR LIVES AS MEMBERS OF NSBC
7.      PRAY THAT EVERY PERSON OR GROUP THAT WANT TO PLUNGE NIGERIA INTO NEEDLESS WAR AND BLOODSHED, ASK THAT GOD WILL  SET AMBUSHES AGAINST THEM (2 Chro. 20:22) ----Yoruba bible ni…Olorun ran ogun eyin…….another version says ….Olorun gbeyin yo si awon   ….ota Israel
-          LET GOD ARISE AND HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED.
-          DIDE TOGUN TOGUN, DIDE TIJATIJA, DIDE NINU AGBARA......
8.      PRAY THAT GOD WILL GROW HIS CHURCH. NSBC. Ask that God will demonstrate His power and Majesty in our midst..... In Toyosi’s wedding.....In the new Building.....
