Sunday Service (October 21, 2018)- G.A. Coronation Sunday

Thank God for our Girls Auxiliary Coronation Sunday today, where some of our girls got promoted to higher ranks in the Auxiliary, and some to the Lydia Auxiliary. The Word was delivered to us today by the Mrs Bose Oke on the Topic:
STAND OUT AND SHINE
TEXT:   1 TIMOTHY 4:12

12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.(NIV)

INTRODUCTION
From the passage read, the Lord is saying to you all that your age is not a barrier to your standing out and shinning.

LESSON
The Bible in this passage says in spite of your young age, you must stand out and shine out in
-          SPEECH. Others may speak anyhow, but God is asking you to be different. Speak only words that lift up others not words that bring them down…….
-          LIFE. Live your life in such a way that the world will see Jesus in you…….
-          LOVE.  Though the people of the world are becoming increasingly self centered, as God’s children, His word for you is that reveal the love of Christ in your daily life………………
-          FAITH. Others may be of little faith or of no faith at all, but for you, you must be so full of faith that you be an example even to other believers……….
-          PURITY. GAs, note. Purity may no longer be fashionable. It is unfortunate that many young girls nowadays even boast in their impurity, but it must not be so with you. God is asking you to  stand out and shine, even in this matter of purity

For you to be able to do these successfully, you must
Ø  KEEP AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD
-          Read your Bibles daily
-          Pray always
-          Remain active in the Church
Ø  BE RESPONSIBLE AT HOME
-          Be obedient to your parents
-          Help your parents at home
Ø  DEMONSTRATE EXCELLENCE IN YOUR STUDIES
-          Be the best possible in school
-          Don’t be lazy but be very hardworking (study hard)
-          Pursue your dreams in life with vigor

 TO ALL OUR PARENTS
We must be good role models to these young girls.  When they see Christ in our lives, they are encouraged to be what God has called them to be
TO THE CHURCH AS A BODY
The Church as a body should also continue to appreciate these girls and celebrate the virtues of Christ in their lives.

MAY GOD HELP US ALL TO ALWAYS SHINE FOR HIM IN ALL WE DO. AMEN

PASTOR’S CORNER
Daughters are like beautiful roses; God fearing daughters are indeed precious gems. Parents must therefore spare no effort in making gems out of these roses, for they are tomorrow's 'mother of nations.'
