Sunday 26/08/2018 (Conference Sunday)

Thank God for the grace to witness the Ogbomoso Baptist Conference in session 2018, which commenced yesterday, 25th August. This meant that today was our conference / Pulpit exchange Sunday, which saw our Pastor go to First Baptist Church, Oloronbo, and Rev Thomas Oladejo, of Opete Baptist Church, Dide Oluwa Baptist Association, was sent to our church today, and he delivered God’s Word to us.

Topic: Our Goodly Heritage: Evangelising, Discipling Nations
Matthew 28:18-20

- The fall of man brought death to all, but for the love of God for man, He sent His son to save us from the curse of death.
- But despite this, unfortunately, not everyone know Christ as Lord.
- Jesus started the work of evangelism, moving through towns and villages, this setting an example for us.
In Matthew 10:5 He sent out His 12 Apostles
And in Luke 10:12 He sent out 72.

LESSON
1. THE GREAT CLAIM (Vs 18)
Christ said all authority is His, therefore as joint heirs with Christ, we also have this authority. So we should arise and work.

2. THE GREAT COMMAND (Vs 19)
Make disciples, baptise them and teach them.
Go to the list souls

3. THE GREAT PROMISE
Jesus did not say He'll be with us later, neither did He say He'll be with is for some time, but He's with us now and forever.

CONCLUSION
Let's not allow the heritage of our fathers die in our hands, and it's up to us to ensure that.
- Let's nice on from here and spread the gospel unto the nations just as our fathers did.
- And we should support also in prayers and giving.

PASTOR'S CORNER
When we spread the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ either by public preaching or we do it by personal witnessing we are Evangelizing. The entire process involved in making a new convert Christ like is what we call Discipleship. Take time to consider it today, which of these are you doing well?
